Chic Behavioral Health and Community Services is a 501(c)3 nonprofit youth organization dedicated to providing resources and services to youth, their families, and young women who are at risk or have experienced a history of foster care involvement, child poverty, child abuse or neglect, human trafficking, and/or juvenile justice involvement. Starting in 2023, our team has been delivering youth prevention programs to adolescent girls in traditional and alternative education settings, and our curriculum and programs have been implemented in multiple organizations.

The immediate and specific need is funding to continue to implement our Girls Group Program (C.H.I.C Girls). More specifically, food during our therapeutic group sessions to limit food insecurity, curriculum/program materials, marketing materials, professional development training to build multidisciplinary teams to implement services that are tailored to the needs of children and their families, and supplies. 

Above + Beyond Cancer is a public charity with a mission to elevate the lives of those touched by cancer, to create a healthier world.

One of Iowa's oldest and largest youth-serving nonprofit organizations, YSS's mission is to create hope and opportunity by putting kids first. We offer education to build healthy minds and bodies; counseling to overcome life’s challenges; and stability to focus on the future.

The AAQG is a non-profit organization open to all with an appreciation for quilting. Our goal is to developing and encourage the art of quilting through community, education  and philanthropy.   We thrive on supporting local organizations by donating quilts to those in need. Join us at our monthly meetings, featuring locally and nationally-known speakers, and an opportunity to meet and enjoy the work of other area quilters.

Our team is committed to make kick counting a common practice for all expectant parents. Meet the people responsible for implementing the Count the Kicks program. Count the Kicks is an evidence-based program that teaches expectant parents about the importance of tracking fetal movements.

​Garden Gate Ranch is a faith-based Christian organization providing safe housing and restorative and transitional services for sexually-exploited women and their children. Garden Gate Ranch seeks to rally our communities to ensure that all women are free from exploitation and abuse.

The House of Rogues is a nonprofit organization established to promote youth development through active and artistic self-expression. We create a safe space for youth to learn and grow, a home away from home for all who walk through our doors. We provide a space for a variety of different arts including parkour, theater (drama), martial arts, music, art, dance, and other forms of artistic expression along with a community space to hang out, meet, interact and grow together.

The Wiedenman Family Foundation was formed to undertake projects that will enhance Ankeny, Iowa and our surrounding community. By bringing together resources and vision, we hope to create long-lasting changes that will have a positive impact on the people who call this community home.

The Tori's Angels Foundation brings people together to provide and receive life-changing help.  The foundation provides opportunities for community members across Central Iowa and beyond to make a difference in the lives of infants, children, and adolescents with life-threatening challenges. We reach out to the community both near and far to gain the needed funds to distribute to families who need real-life angels to help them through one or more crises.

On With Life began as the dream of eight families - a dedicated, passionate group of survivors and their families, faced with the challenge of rebuilding lives shattered by brain injury. Their dedication resulted in a post-acute program focused on the unique and complex needs of brain injury survivors. Since then, On With Life has expanded from a post-acute inpatient program in a single location to seven programs across multiple campuses, serving more than 1,000 individuals a year.

TAKE is a non-profit organization that provides free, gently used clothing, shoes, linens, & housewares to people facing hard times. Volunteer staffed, we rely on community donations and funding.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Iowa provides a home-away-from-home for families traveling to Des Moines to seek medical care for their child. We have two House locations, an 18-bedroom House near Blank Children’s Hospital and a 17-bedroom House at MercyOne Children’s Hospital. These Houses are more than just a place to stay. We offer a comprehensive meal program, comfortable community spaces, laundry facilities, playrooms and more. A team of over 70 volunteers and a small dedicated team of staff are always ready to do whatever it takes to make a family’s stay a little easier.

Daniel L Lopez Ministries helps people in need with food, clothing, household goods, supplies, furniture, beds, and necessities. We serve and support existing organizations, nonprofits, ministries, and churches helping people. We LOVE GOD and love people.

New Horizons has been in Ankeny since January 2000 working to enhance the quality of life for adults who are physically and/or cognitively challenged, providing a safe and friendly place for clients during the weekday. 

Dorothy’s House is a safe place for survivors of human trafficking, exploitation and prostitution1 to discover their healing journeys through the practice of life. Our customized programs are designed to provide complete support for all survivors, regardless of race or gender. If you are a survivor, we can help you find safety so you can create change in your life.

We have more than 100 years of experience loving and serving our neighbor. Since our founding, ‘neighbor’ has often included people who had nowhere else to turn, especially people with disabilities. How Mosaic has served and those whom Mosaic has served has evolved through the years. But the mission has not changed: we are called to love and serve our neighbor.

Our Mission is to connect & support the NICU community of Blank Children’s Hospital:  babies, parents, families & staff.

The idea for Amanda the Panda was born in 1980. The primary focus during the first seven years was to be a special friend to children living with cancer. Amanda the Panda’s work with grieving children evolved naturally from this work with children living with cancer. In the fall of 1982, a grief camp was created. This was a weekend camp exclusively for children that had experienced the death of a loved one. Our grief camp is the first and longest running camp in the United States for grieving children and teens. That first camp has now grown into two weekend camps each year for children and teens aged 5–17, as well as adults. The first adult camp was held in 1989

Courage League Sports adaptive sports and recreation program offers year-round programming for children and adults who aren’t able to go full speed due to a physical, cognitive, or emotional disability. By adapting the pace, equipment, or nature of an activity, Courage League provides a safe and accessible environment. Courage League offers adaptive, special recreation programs in 8 different communities throughout Greater Des Moines, including in Ankeny.

Alpha Women’s Center is a pregnancy resource center with a heart for the woman suspecting that she might be pregnant. Our vison and mission is to glorify God as a Christ-centered resource for affirming the sanctity of human life from conception to the grave.

Trailhead Local partners with amazing businesses and individuals who care about at-risk youth and are serious about the health and future of their communities. Trailhead Local works directly with local school districts to promote scholarships opportunities for at-risk situations where the funding of additional activity, equipment, clothing, gear, or rentals is a primary cause for a student's lack of participation. Trailhead Local provides scholarships for those at-risk students  who desire to use their talents in sports and music activities but simply don't have the necessary funds to participate.

Children & Families of Iowa (CFI) is dedicated to improving the lives of children and families throughout Iowa. With offices across the state, CFI supports Iowans with services ranging from family support and childcare to career training, behavioral health, and much more.

For over 150 years, the YMCA of Greater Des Moines has empowered communities by ensuring access to resources, relationships and opportunities for all to learn, grow and thrive.

The Ankeny Service Center coordinates services and referrals for residents of Ankeny and northern Polk County. We exist to serve the underserved in our community by meeting immediate needs, as well as providing a path to success. Through partnerships with local service organizations, businesses, and community members, we are changing lives.
